What is a sports pick verification receipt?

A PickProof verification receipt is a recordkeeping graphic tied to a Confirmed Pick. It helps show what was recorded, when it was recorded, and which scheduled event the entry belongs to.

The details a receipt documents

A receipt can identify the event, selection, informational sportsbook label or reference, line, odds, units, confirmation time, and visibility schedule associated with the pick. The underlying PickProof record is authoritative; the graphic is a portable view of that record.

The confirmation time is displayed in the viewer's device locale and timezone where supported. PickProof does not manually convert all timestamps to one fixed timezone. This lets a user read the time naturally while the stored event and receipt continue to refer to the same underlying instant.

Event identity prevents mix-ups

Team names alone are not enough to identify a game. Teams can meet more than once on the same date, and doubleheaders can create nearly identical display rows. PickProof retains structured event identity, including the scheduled pairing and time, so a receipt does not rely only on a display name.

What the QR code represents

When a receipt includes a QR code, it points to PickProof verification data for the recorded entry. The purpose is to make the ledger record easier to check. It does not send a user to a sportsbook, place a wager, transfer funds, or establish an affiliation with a team, league, sportsbook, or data provider.

What verification does not mean

A verified receipt shows that PickProof recorded a particular entry under its ledger rules. It is not a prediction that the selection will win, a financial instrument, a professional recommendation, or a guarantee that every outside data source will remain unchanged.

Scores, rotations, odds, grading, and closing references may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, or unavailable. When an authoritative grade is corrected, the result attached to the immutable pick can change without altering the original selection or confirmation time.

Using receipts responsibly

Receipts are designed for personal records and public accountability. Users should avoid cropping or presenting a receipt in a way that hides important context. For the clearest review, use the verification destination and consider the selection, confirmation time, event identity, visibility, and final authoritative grade together.
