How informational odds and scores work
PickProof displays odds and scores so users can record picks, follow event progress, and review a ledger. The data is informational and may be delayed, incomplete, corrected, or unavailable.
Pregame lines only
PickProof does not display in-game odds. Before an event starts, available pregame markets can update as sources post new lines. After the scheduled start, PickProof shows the last recorded pregame or closing line for each book and market when one exists.
This distinction keeps a confirmed pregame record from being silently compared with an in-game market. If no line was ever recorded for a particular source, event, and market, the display can show OFF.
Missing markets are normal
Sportsbooks often post markets incrementally. A moneyline might appear before a spread or total, and one source may post a market while another does not. The absence of one market does not mean every market for that source or game is unavailable.
On an odds date with at least one lined game, same-day scheduled games without lines can still appear as OFF. On the Scores page, verified scheduled games can remain visible even when no odds have been recorded.
Game states come from authoritative data
Scheduled, live, final, postponed, and canceled presentation should follow the authoritative event state. A pending game must not show a score or a live/final label. When a game is live, the displayed period or inning and score can update independently from the preserved pregame odds.
Event identity protects the matchup
PickProof retains event identifiers, scheduled pairing, dates and times, and available rotation numbers. It does not group events only by team names. This is especially important for doubleheaders and rescheduled games, where the same teams may appear more than once.
Timezone and locale
Event times are formatted for the user's device locale and timezone. A stored timestamp represents the same instant even when two users see different local times. PickProof does not hardcode every user to one US timezone.
Always allow for source delay. Odds, scores, rotations, line movement, CLV, grading, and alerts can be late, incomplete, corrected, or unavailable. Independently verify information before relying on it outside PickProof.
What the odds display is for
The display provides market context for ledger entries and analytics. It is not an account interface for any sportsbook and does not support registration, deposits, withdrawals, payouts, promotions, or bet placement.
